DARK ENERGY
Strange Attractor No 19: Dark Energy took place on 10 February 2004 and took the form of a "Mindclash" between Erik Davis and Ken Hollings, with a live soundtrack by Simon James and projections selected by Mark Pilkington. The discussion was followed by a screening of the UK no-budget sci-fi flick Fire Maidens from Outer Space (1955).
A COSMIC THEOPHONY
Strange Attractor No 18: Our eighteenth event "A Cosmic Theophony" happened on 18 June 2003. Erik Davis and Ken Hollings discussed music inspired by, brought from and transmitted to Outer Space. With appropriate musical excerpts and a live performance by Jo Thomas.
Mini Strange Attractor No 17: Our seventeenth event "Japan vs Itself" happened on 28 Feb 2003 and was our third mini event dedicated to underground Japanese cinema. We premiered Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack and Organ.
BREAKING OPEN THE HEAD
Strange Attractor No 16: Our sixteenth event "Breaking Open the Head" happened on 26 February 2003 and coincided with the launch of Pinchbeck's remarkable book, Breaking Open the Head, in which he describes his rediscovery of hallucinogenic drugs and subsequent transformation into a born again, shamanic advocate of a new cosmic consciousness.
Mini Strange Attractor No 15: Our fifteenth event "Eastern Vortex" happened on 25 October 2002 and was our second mini event dedicated to underground Japanese cinema. We premiered Uzumaki and Legend of Zu.

Mega Strange Attractor No 14: Our fourteenth event "Megalithomania" happened on Oct 12th 2002 and was a special extended event focusing on megalithic structures through history, folklore, art and sound. Contributors included John Michell, Paul Devereux, Iain Sinclair, Coil and many others.

Strange Attractor No 13: Our thirteenth event "Underground Installations" happened on 13th Aug 2002 and focused on subterranean structures. Matt Williams talked about his "bunker busting" exploits, breaking into Britain's underground military complexes. Sound artist Disinformation performed and NOMEX talked about the Paris Catacombs.

Strange Attractor No 12: Our twelth event "Utopia Britannica" happened on 9th July 2002 and focused on British utopian movements. Featuring Chris Coates, author of Utopia Britannica and Kevin Brownlow joined us to talk about and screen his rarely seen muddy reconstruction of the Civil War Diggers movement "Winstanley".
Mini Strange Attractor No 11: Our eleventh event "Splat Japan" happened on 14th June 2002 and was a mini event dedicated to underground Japanese cinema. We premiered VERSUS and WILD ZERO.

Strange Attractor No 10: Our tenth event "Esperanto" happened on 5nd June 2002 and featured members of the London Esperanto Society. Along with a screening of the only known film entirely in Esperanto, Incubus, a gripping horror thriller with William Shatner.

Strange Attractor No 9: Our ninth event "HOAX!" happened on 2nd April 2002 and focused on hoaxing, pranking and mocumentaries. Featuring international man of mystery Robert Irving, a screening of the cult classic Alternative 3 and phone pranks from Stewart Home.

Strange Attractor No 8: Our eighth event "Hitler's England" happened on 5 March 2002 and focused on Kevin Brownlow's movie "It Happened Here", an alternate-history depicting what life in London would have been like if Nazis had conquered England.

Strange Attractor No 7: Our seventh event "Real Magick" happened on February 5th 2002 and focused on contemporary magickal practices. The event included a live Chaos Magick Ritual complete with blood and squids!

Strange Attractor No 6: Our sixth event "Psychic Deception and Holy Fraud" happened on December 4th 2001 and focused on the art and psychology of deception and its use by psychics and holy men.

Strange Attractor No 5: Our fifth event "History Reconstructed" happened on November 13th 2001 and focused on on the work of artist Rod Dickinson and his Jonestown and Milgram re-enactments.

Strange Attractor No 4: Our fourth event "Digital Underground" happened on October 2nd 2001 and delved into the worlds of hacking, pirate radio and digital activism. Our resident hacker did a bit of War Driving, showing how vulnerable wireless network are.

Strange Attractor No 3: Our third event "Cargo Culture" happened on September 5th 2001 and featured author Mike Jay and Julian Mayne from kavaisland.com talking about the fascinating phenomenon of Cargo Cults.

Strange Attractor No 2: Our second event "Forgotten Musical Technologies" happened on August 7th 2001 and featured Theremin maker Tony Bassett, musicians Miss Hypnotique, Bruce Woolley and the Radio Science Orchestra and a documentary about Leon Theremin.

Strange Attractor No 1: Our first event themed around Conspiracy Culture happened on July 10th 2001 and featured journalist and broadcaster Jon Ronson along with Alex Jones, David V Barrett and Ken Hollings.
