Slow postings: blame the Mirage Men

magritte-voice-of-space

A few kind souls have asked after me having noticed the somewhat reduced posting rate on Further, for which I apologise.

It’s all for a good reason, however. After many months of giddy peaks and lightless troughs I’m finally approaching the end of an initial draft of Mirage Men, my book about intelligence, disinformation and the creation of the UFO mythology.

Partly a historical overview of intelligence manipulations of the UFO subject and partly an account of mine and John Lundberg’s attempt to stagger through the saucer-shaped labyrinth in search of answers, I hope it will be a ripping read whose ramifications extend far beyond the domed confines of the UFO phenomenon. It’ll need at least one more run through before it’s fully finished, but the initial slog is soon to be over – praise be to our extraterrestrial overlords!

There’ll be much more news to come about Mirage Men, which is also a documentary film by John and myself, but the book will be published in the first half of next year by a very patient Constable Robinson.

And for those of you who have been looking forward to Strange Attractor Journal Four, rest assured, we should see it emerge towards the end of this year.

As ever, watch this space… and keep watching the skies!
